My name is Martin and I am an International Business student at RBS, I did apply for ASR last semester because I took the Agile Consulting classes prior to that, and I really enjoyed it. I was and still am very motivated to take part in competitions against other universities around the globe, and really enjoy the healthy competitive aspect about it. ASR taught me about continuous improvement and helped me to become a better professional and teammate. To me, the uniqueness of this minor relies on the autonomy and independent aspect that is taught by the coaches, you are your own boss!
My best memory of a case competition with my ASR team was in October when we participated in a competition in Canada, we had to work all night and when we went to bed at 6 in the morning, we were sleeping in the living room with the teammates, and even though we were exhausted we could not stop talking about the case and possible solutions! It became hilarious because of accumulated tiredness we really wanted to sleep but the case was all over our brains!
During case solving I really enjoy reaching that moment when we have an idea to solve a problem, and we must think and brainstorm to give it a feasible and realistic shape, it’s like putting the last pieces of a puzzle! Furthermore, working with students from different fields is always interesting and insightful because they see things from another perspective and our knowledge can complete each other.
I think applying to RCC can be a great opportunity to enlarge your network and live the fantastic moments of working as a high-performance team and discover the best version of yourself!
